New projects, new yarn and new techniques.

Can we say Chunky?! So excited to try out this new fabulously chunky yarn. Watch for pictures of new designs featuring this wonderful yarn!

A special little security blanket for a special little baby girl in my life. :)

Working on a new technique. One which not as many crocheters are aware of. It's been a fun new challenge for me.

Sweet little sweater I made for a dear friend's baby girl!

Wholesale order ready for delivery.

Last weekend I visited a new yarn store, well new to me. I walked in and felt like a kid in a candy store, oh my I had fun! I know, not everyone gets as excited about yarn as I do, but if you do, this is the store for you.   Very hip and funky, with very fun staff! I found some new yarn which I'm super excited about. My head is swimming with ideas. Heading to Starbucks tonight with friends to knit and crochet, just  what I need when I have new yarn. :)

It's a sunny COLD Monday here in these parts. Myself and the kids have multiple layers on, trying to stay warm in our not so warm house. Ahh, the joys of an older house with very little insulation in the walls. As with most Mondays, I feel energized and ready for the week. Most Mondays I have high aspirations of getting so many things accomplished and getting the house organized. I have yet to accomplish this. One of these weeks I'll get everything done on my to-do list and maybe even do some extra credit. Maybe this will be the week.

Joys from the weekend:
*Cora saying "Hi Dada" when she saw Daddy wake up yesterday morning. Not even 8 months old and she is putting two words together. We have yet to hear Mama. I know it's coming any day now. ;)
* Seeing the kids start to interact more with each other, responding to each others silly little sounds.
* Having family cuddle time on Kieran's bed before bedtime. The joy of having cuddly kids!
*Both of the kids actually napping and at the same time too! It has been weeks since Kieran has actually fallen asleep during nap time. Hoping this may be the start of a new trend!

While trying to do a bit of last minute Christmas shopping I found this print on etsy which I'm in love with!
Travel Print -VW , Adventure, Autumn, Summer, Love - Lets see the world together- 8x10 print
find it here .
The hubby and I love traveling and always dream of when and where we can go next. I have always had this love for old VW vans. When ever I see one, I always dream of having one and exploring the open road, traveling the miles and having great adventures together with our kids. I'm not sure he is on board with the idea yet. The kids are still young so I still have time to convince him of us getting one. :)

New!

Crocheted flower brooch
I am so excited about this one! After many trial and errors, I came up with the perfect flower, well in my book at least. :) It was a feature on my Mosel Chunky Scarf and now you can get one all on it's own. Find it in my shop here.

*Fresh out of bed, still in pajamas and ready to paint.
*Little hands at work creating a masterpiece.
*What fun can be had with some flour and a few kitchen utincils.
*The rare moments where you can actually catch him looking at the camera.

A custom order for a special customer. Over 1200 yards of pure comfort and warmth. I am now wanting to make a blanket like this all for myself. Perfect for this cold house in the dead of winter, or the crispness of the autumn, or just anytime you want a comfy blanket. :)

Last week I had my first Artisan Pop Up event at Squire House Gardens in Afton, MN. Since I had never participated in any kind of events with my craft, I really wasn't sure what to expect. I had been wanting to take the plunge and start doing art shows, but with a new baby, many of them just weren't very doable this year. This one was a small venue, only a few hours on a Thursday evening so that didn't seem as daunting as a whole weekend long event. My mother-in-law took off a half day from work to come and stay with the kiddos and my sister surprised me by showing up to hang out with me for the evening. What fun it was! Since it was a chillier evening it definitely helped out my sales. I'm always so humble when someone looks at one of my pieces and sees value in it, enough value to even buy it. I see the value and I know the attention to detail and the time I have put into each piece, so it is very encouraging when someone else sees that as well.
